Leagues & Jitneys
League Information
Information about the different leagues offered at the Club.
- Tuesday Singles League
- Starts: May 25, 2010. Entry Deadline: May 25, 2010.
- Entry fee: $10 per person.
- Wednesday Pairs League
- Starts: May 26, 2010. Entry Deadline: May 19, 2010.
- Entry fee: $40 per team.
- Thursday House League
- Starts: June 17, 2010. Entry Deadline: June 17, 2010.
- Encourage all new bowers to participate. All members welcome.

Drop-In (Daytime Jitneys) Information
These lawn bowling matches are different from leagues in that scores are not recorded, thus it is not as competitive in nature as evening league play.
See the Club Calendar for the different times that Drop-In play is available. (It will not be played the week of the 2010 Canadian Nationals in August.) The type of games (pairs, triples, fours) to be played will be determined by the number of people in attendance at a particular session. They will be Disc Draws (see below) generally going to triples or fours teams.
Jitneys & Disc Draws
- Jitneys
- A Jitney is a term the club uses to describe ad-hoc games. In a jitney teams are decided during the start, usually by drawing names. The number of teams and the number of players per team is decided by the number of people who attend.
- Disc Draw
- Each member has a disc made that is posted on a board in the club. During a disc draw game these discs are taken down and given to the draw master who will randomly draw discs to make up the teams. The draw master posts the teams on the green board to signify which teams are playing each other and on which rink they are playing.
